The Secretary of the Senate, Frank Eldridge passed away suddenly this morning.
For those of you not obsessed with GA Politics, Former Sen. Eldridge was one of the good old Southern Democrats, so widely respected across party lines, that when the GOP took over in 2002, he retained his appointment as Secretary of the Senate. While it does sound very cliche', he was truly one of the "fixtures" of the Capitol.
