A New Wire Report
A much delayed wire report...
Job changes
Mr. M. was held back briefly from becoming an overachiever in yet another field. The Whispering Spot is sorry to report that he sprained his wrist very badly (requiring a cast) in OCS, resulting in at least a delay in his joining the Marines. Miss Hughes, deciding that her senior year at THE isn't busy enough, has added a job at the local Ann Taylor store in addition to school, soccer, and the local coffee shop. A Man-Called-Peter's wife is exploring life in the private sector--well, sort of. She has just started a job with a government contractor. Miss Rice is learning that life isn't about 80 hour work weeks, only about 65 hpw. Everyone, please applaud:-P She is also working with THE to establish a Model UN Program (why do they start all the cool things after I graduate?) Bozo went quiet for a week, and now speculation is rife as to what he was doing...some friend are suggesting:-P
Sprintcess' Wedding
Sprintcess and Terrapin have returned from PEI and their honeymoon just in time for flag football. This increasingly popular annual tradition has reported sucked the Stewardess in as well. Speaking of Sprintcess, 1LT KR almost caused a riot at Sprintcess's wedding as Bridesmaids scrambled to get their pictures made with THE MARINE:-) Ceil almost died laughing when one of her fellow maids rushed in 20 mins before the wedding and wanted to know who the Marine belonged to. For those of you who missed it, after the wedding, 23 of us went out to Ono's and they actually managed to seat us all at one long table. Remind you of school at all?!?
Moving...
PauldinBoy, HoosierGirl, and NoraKate recently moved into their new apartment in Herndon.
Babies...
Autumn has turned into a grinny baby, reported finding Karl as funny as many of us do. Her parents say she is a very good baby, but they are looking forward to her learning to sleep through the night. Apparently the baby announcements will be out soon. They had a family emergency and had to go to NC to take care of Aravis' grandmother.
Rumor also has it that AED and her husband are expecting, adding to her already full plate as private tutor. She also has come back to her government roots and is now working for the same family as a personal assistant to the mother.
And lastly
Someone asked Ceil if she ever had anything but rough weeks. She does. Particularly now that she is through the back to back to back weeks of THE's Annual Meeting, Board of Trustee Meeting, Sprintcess's wedding and associated festivities. Granted it is not a good time to ask about weeks, when she was coming off a tremendously busy week, and gotten about four hours of sleep the night before. However, she has throughly enjoyed the past week. The glorious autumn color on her commute through one of the prettiest counties in the commonwealth...USC falling to 2nd place in the BCS poll...two consecutive weekends at home, and finally, too, the restoration of internet:-P
